Bassett, counselor in the presidency of the Dallas Texas Temple, has served as regional representative, stake president and counselor, patriarch, stake mission president, stake Young Men president and bishop. A retired contracting engineer for Chicago Bridge & Iron, he graduated from the University of Utah. He was born in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Thomas Myrthen and Henrietta Minson Bassett. Sister Bassett, currently assistant to the matron in the Dallas Texas Temple, formerly served in stake and ward Young Women, Primary and Relief Society presidencies. She was born in Parker, Idaho, to Burdette Thornton and Martha Hanks Remington.

JUSTUS ERNST, 66, Butler 1st Ward, Salt Lake Butler Stake, called as president of the Freiberg Germany Temple, succeeding Pres. Jiri Snederfler. Pres. Ernst's wife, Anneliese D. Froelke Ernst, will serve as temple matron. Pres. Ernst, a temple ordinance worker, has served as high councilor, stake clerk, branch president, bishop's counselor and member of the Tabernacle Choir. A retired manager of temple translation, he graduated from BYU and received a master's degree from the University of Oklahoma. He was born in Kassel, Germany, to Gustav Hermann and Martha Elisabeth Ruppel Ernst. Sister Ernst is a former Young Women president's counselor, stake family history library assistant director and Primary teacher. She was born in Dortmund, Germany, to Erwin and Elisabeth Proll Froelke.

HENRY A HAURAND, 66, Bountiful 14th Ward, Bountiful Utah South Stake, called as president of the Germany Frankfurt Temple, succeeding Pres. Johann A. Wondra. Pres. Haurand's wife, Margarethe Biehl Haurand, will serve as temple matron. Pres. Haurand, counselor in the Bountiful Utah South Stake presidency, is a former stake mission president, high councilor, bishop, temple ordinance worker, and Church service missionary. He is a retired manager of construction, Church international physical facilities division. He was born in Essen, Germany, to Eugen and Gustel Toriedt Haurand. Sister Haurand, regional name extraction supervisor, is a temple ordinance worker and former district Young Women president, ward and stake Relief Society president's counselor, and teacher in Primary and Sunday School. She was born in Essen, Germany, to Friedrich and Marie Noelker Biehl.

KENNETH R. METCALF, 67, Bloomington 7th Ward, Bloomington Utah Stake, called as president of the St. George Temple, succeeding Pres. J. Thomas Fyans. Pres. Metcalf's wife, Beverly Robbins Metcalf, will serve as temple matron. Pres. Metcalf, counselor in the presidency of the St. George Temple, has served as president of the Michigan Lansing Mission, regional representative, stake president and elders quorum president. He and his wife founded four mortuaries and he is co-founder of Sun Capital Bank. He attended BYU and graduated from the College of Mortuary Science in San Francisco, Calif. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was born in Springville, Utah, to Maurice and Zina Robertson Metcalf. Sister Metcalf is assistant to the matron, temple ordinance worker, and former Relief Society president, stake Young Women Laurel leader and teacher in Sunday School, Relief Society and Primary. She was born in Springville, Utah, to Lyman LaVan and Helen Amelia Gottfredson Robbins.

JOHN S. MORGAN, 69, Summerhaze Ward, Layton Utah Holmes Creek Stake, called as president of the Papeete Tahiti Temple, succeeding Pres. C. Jay Larson. Pres. Morgan's wife, Carol Ellison Morgan, will serve as temple matron. Pres. Morgan filled two missions to Tahiti and is a temple ordinance worker. He has served as high councilor, bishop, bishop's counselor and ward and stake Young Men's president. He is a retired banker and agriculturist. He was born in Ogden, Utah, to Joseph Franklin and Essie Elsie Summers Morgan. Sister Morgan is a temple ordinance worker, and served with her husband in the Tahiti Papeete Mission, as well as a family history mission, and is a former stake Young women president, ward Relief Society president and teacher. She was born in Ogden, Utah, to Laurence Ephraim and Catherine M. Adams Ellison.
