The dictionary calls a rampage a frenzy, a storm, a rebel. It is someone who is wild and reckless.

Rampage Clothing Company, the trendy Los Angeles firm that specializes in junior and misses apparel, is not exactly reckless, but it is one of the fastest growing companies in the country.Bridgette Hansel Andrews, Rampage's president, says, "Today, more than ever before, our goal is to revolutionize the industry by doing what's never been done."

Based on the credo that "anything is possible," Rampage targets a broad range of customers from baby girls to adult women (about the mid-30s). The company produces eight collections of clothing, including toddler, young girls, junior, missy, "better" missy and contemporary women's apparel.

Today, its trendy, eclectic line of clothing is available in virtually thousands of retail stores nationwide, including Dillards and Nord-strom in Utah.

The Rampage Dress collection offers the fashionable woman fitted, sleek, sexy styles to flare silhouettes that reflect the most recent trends as well as special occasion dresses, rompers and baby dolls for daytime. From career to casual, each Rampage Dress collection features a new versatility that remains consistent with today's fashions.

Trilogy, a private label of contemporary outfitting, offers a core concept of functional suiting - either pant suits with empire vest, shift dresses with coordinating blazers or the classic short A-Line skirt with body hugging jackets.

The classic Trilogy suit has become synonymously known as the "Amanda Suit," named for the professional outfits associated with the contemporary fictional TV character, Amanda Woodward, from the hit Fox series, "Melrose Place."

The Trilogy line also offers weekend wear. Clothes for spring and summer '95 are inspired by the sea and all that is nautical - from navy shorts with stripe shirts to wide leg sailor trousers with crisp white cotton shirts. It also includes year-round fabrications, such as moss crepe and seasonal textiles of linen, cotton pique or wool, cashmere and angora blends.

The sportswear collection is also popular - not defined by any one type of customer - and offering specialized fabrics from denims and moss crepes to fleece and cotton knits.

The CDC label was created by Caren Lettiere and Desiree Ehmcke with the hope of bridging the gap between the trend-oriented junior market to what some consider the "mundane" missy world. CDC attempts to listen to the previously ignored missy consumer ("a woman whose body has matured along with her lifestyle") and allow her to make a graceful transition while maintaining high fashion.

The Caren Desiree label, created by the same designers, is a higher priced line, employing fabrics imported from Europe. The clothes range from hand stitched embroidery on formal evening dresses to the flawless tailoring of vested pant suits.

Caren Desiree emphasizes the romantic and the glamorous and calls to mind the feminine images of some of the most alluring women of our time - Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
