Rex Lyman Losee, age 69 of Lehi, died October 18, 1996 of a prolonged illness.
He was born October 27, 1926 in Ephraim, Utah, son of Andrew and Ardella Anderson Losee. He married Diane Holt April 25, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a teacher at Utah State Valley College. He also taught at Geneva Steel and instructed many industrial courses throughout the state. He received "Outstanding Teacher of the Year, 1977-78." and retired as an instructor in the electrical and automation department of U.T.C. He was presented a recognition of outstanding service to students by the Utah State Board of Regents in 1978. He also was an accomplished author. He was talented in art and music and enjoyed traveling the world.He was an active member of the LDS Church, was a high priest, and a worker at the Provo temple. He was a great husband and father and loved outings with his family. He left a little of himself through the knowledge he shared and effected many lives. Of all his accomplishments, he viewed his family as the most important.
His wit and charm were loved by all. We will miss him dearly.
Survived by his wife of Lehi, three sons and two daughters, Gregory Rex (Becky) Losee, Kurt E. (Callie) Losee, Kerri Kopinsky, and Michelle (Greg) Peck, all of Lehi; Todd A. (Elaine) Losee, Pleasant Grove; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Ferril (Donna) Losee, Provo. Preceded in death by son, Kelly K. Losee.
Funeral, Tuesday, October 22, 1996, 11 a.m. in the Lehi 9th Ward LDS Chapel, 465 East 300 North. Friends may call at Wing Mortuary, Monday 7-9 p.m. and at the church, Tuesday one hour prior to service. Burial, Lehi City Cemetery.
