Bill Lindsay scored the go-ahead goal while Florida was shorthanded in the second period, and the Panthers beat the Edmonton Oilers 6-3 Sunday to stop their first two-game losing streak this season.

Florida got goals from six players as it matched its season scoring high. Edmonton, winless in four games, dropped to 0-4-1 against the Panthers.The first-place Panthers, who blew a 3-0 lead before rallying to win, have not lost three in a row since March 23-30, when they lost four straight.

Stars 4, Senators 0

At Kanata, Ontario, Mike Modano and Richard Matvichuk scored shorthanded goals 26 seconds apart in the second period, leading the Dallas Stars over the Ottawa Senators 4-0.

Dallas, starting a four-game road trip, scored three times on four shots in the second period and had just 15 shots in the game. Jamie Langenbrunner and Joe Nieuwendyk had the other goals for the Stars, who haven't lost this season when leading after two periods.

Andy Moog stopped 25 shots in his third shutout this season, the 25th of his career. Ottawa has just one win in its last eight games.

Blackhawks 2, Penguins 1

At Chicago, defenseman Keith Carney's tie-breaking goal with 1:12 left in regulation gave the Chicago Blackhawks a 2-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Blackhawks' second straight victory snapped Pittsburgh's six-game winning and 10-game unbeaten streaks.

Pittburgh's Jason Woolley and Chicago's Tony Amonte also scored.

The Penguins hadn't been held to one goal since a 2-1 loss at Boston on Nov. 14.

Canucks 8, Blues 0

At St. Louis, Alexander Mogilny notched his 11th career hat trick, Pavel Bure had two goals and three assists and Corey Hirsch stopped 42 shots as the Vancouver Canucks beat the St. Louis Blues 8-0.

The margin of defeat tied the Blues' record for their worst shutout loss ever, an 8-0 defeat by Boston in 1974.

Hirsch recorded his second shutout of the season, and third of his career, as the Blues lost their fifth straight game at Kiel Center. The Blues are 5-5-1 in their last 11 games while the Canucks snapped a three-game losing streak and are 3-6-1 in their last 10.
