Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, David (Mac) McNeill, 73, passed away at his home in West Valley City on Monday, March 11, 1996 after a long and courageous battle with emphysema. He was the type of person everyone loved. He had such a wit and sense of humor and such a compassion for all you couldn't help but love him.

This dear man was born January 7, 1923 in North Muskegon, Michigan to George H. and Lillian Marie Beaupre McNeill. Married the love of his life, Ella Mae Bona, January 30, 1945 in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was an electrician by trade and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He loved the outdoors. When he was well, he looked forward all year to the deer hunt; it was more than just a hunt-it was time to be with family which was his greatest joy. To his sons he was always "dad" but to his daughters it was always "daddy".Survivors are his loving wife of 51 years; two sons, three daughters and one daughter-in-law, David (LaJune) Robbins, Henderson, Nevada; Forrest (Jan) McNeill, Roy, Utah; Tamra (Dale) Jones, Lehi, Utah; Glenna (Jerry) Molyneux, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Irene Shaffer (Herb Brimhall), West Jordan; Kathy McNeill, Murray; 34 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; brother, George H. McNeill, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Preceded in death by parents; son, Don Ray McNeill; brother, granddaughter and grandson.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, 12 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road, where friends may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment, Spanish Fork Cemetery.
