Christopher Reeve is back at work, narrating a documentary and planning to direct a TV movie.
Reeve, paralyzed by a horseback riding accident last year, will make his directorial debut with HBO's "In the Gloaming," set to begin filming in October for a 1997 debut, HBO said.Based on a New Yorker magazine short story, "In the Gloaming" is about a young man with AIDS and his family's struggle to understand him.
The 43-year-old "Superman" star, who gets around in a respirator-equipped wheelchair, also is providing narration for an HBO documentary, "Without Pity," which will debut in September. The film profiles four Americans facing severe physical challenges.
