Blue Cross and Blue Shield now single Regence insurer

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Utah is now Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah.

A spokesman said the name change reflects the health insurer's involvement in The Regence Group, an affiliation of the non-profit Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans in Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.Regence will be used as the master brand, tying together the affiliated plans' different companies, products and services under a common name.
