Z. Philip Farr, age 79, died February 7, 1997 in Sandy, Utah.
Born March 31, 1917 to Pearl Jarvis and Zechariah Farr. Married Frankie McBride in the Salt Lake Temple, August 15, 1940. Active member of the LDS Church. Served as bishop and temple worker. He taught music for many years and was a Veteran of World War II.Survived by wife; sons, Jerry, Dennis and Robert; daughters, Clara Sue Solomon, Phyllis Penrod, Lana Cheney and Betty Ann Cheney; sisters, Amy Armstrong, Verdell Palmer, Mary Harris and Maxine Brozo.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 12, 1997, 11 a.m. at the Jordan River 8th Ward, 1229 West 10775 So., South Jordan. Friends may call Tuesday, February 11, 1997, 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens 10600 So. 1700 East, Sandy, and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment: South Jordan City Cemetery.
