Keith Charles Green, Sr., age 77, passed into the arms of his loving parents and his Heavenly Father after an extended illness.
He was born November 13, 1919 to Herman Elias and Alice Haslam Green in American Fork, Utah. After graduation from Granite High School in 1938, he attended the University of Utah and was initiated a member of the fraternity Pi Kappa Alpha. He proudly served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps as a Pilot Instructor, training many American and British bomber crews. Major Green also served overseas in the China-India-Burma Theatre. In 1943, he married his loving and devoted wife, Ilean Patricia `Pat' Kelly of Sacramento, California. He was truly `one of the lucky ones.' Together, they raised five sons. Keith was a wonderful father to his kids. He loved farming and animals, especially horses. He loved music and spent many hours `banging on his piano` while taking nary a lesson. A general contractor by profession, he also owned and operated a variety of small businesses. He took an active part in many cultural and civic organizations such as Boy Scouts, Rotary Club, and American Legion (Past Commander Post 181, Brea, California.) He always supported his family's activities. Wisely, he recognized the difference between his children's wants and needs. He shared a special sense of humor with his father and his Uncle Leo and cherished many fond memories of them in his youth. He never failed to help a friend in need. He was a member of the LDS Church.
