Iele (Alex) May Ming Yee, 39, died April 1, 1997 after an illness.
He was born January 10, 1958 in Lautoka, Fiji to Wai Tong Kwong and Mereoni Tomasi Yee. He married Mele Pauufoou Tupouniua August 23, 1979 in Reno, Nevada; their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple March 18, 1992.He was a member of the LDS Church. He loved to cook for his family and enjoyed fishing. He was a very loving and humble man. His children and family always came first. He was loved and admired by his family, friends and co-workers.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Christine, Catherine, and Loisi; his mother; brothers and sisters, Lui Yee, Fresno, CA; Lucy Kolosa, Western Samoa; Motufaga Dunn, New Zealand; Charlie Yee, Coorgina Tautua'a, Tonga; and Manao; Kaluhickalani, Hawaii; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 8, 1997, 9 a.m. in the Pleasant Green 3rd Ward, 8739 West 3000 South, where friends may call both Monday, 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 8-8:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates. Funeral directors, Peel Funeral Home.
