Ronald Lee Urry died May 27, 1997, in the mountains he loved.

Born June 5, 1945, in Ogden, Utah to Ronald E. Urry and Opal Morris Urry. He married Pamela Christensen in the Logan LDS Temple on July 31, 1971.Survived by his wife, Pamela; daughters, Jennifer (Richard) Pack; Kimberly Urry, and Stacie Urry; parents; brother, Larry (Carol) Urry; and sisters, Linda (Dave) Farr and Jeri (Kent) Davis.

He loved his family, hiking in the mountains, working on his cabin and photography.

Dr. Urry, a nationally recognized expert in the areas of infertility and in vitro fertilization, received his undergraduate degree at Weber State University and Masters and Doctorate at USU. He was instrumental in establishing the highest quality infertility services at the University Hospital and the first in vitro fertilization program in the Intermountain West. With his skill and energy, his infertility and IVF labs in Minnesota and at the University Fertility Center became some of the most successful in the country. This expertise was nationally recognized when Dr. Urry was chosen to be an inspector of Andrology and in vitro fertiliztion labs throughout the US.

Colleagues remember his commitment and enthusiasm to infertile couples. His knowledge, guidance and expertise helped thousands of couple achiever their fondest hopes of having children. His family, colleagues, students and patients will miss him.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 31, 1997 at 10 a.m. at the Holladay 25th Ward Chapel, 4650 S. Naniloa Dr. (2880 E). Friends and family may call Friday at the Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Dr. from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 Memory Lane (1990 East).
