A concert to benefit the restoration of Academy Square will be held from 4 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at the Castle Park amphitheater on the grounds of the Utah State Hospital, 1300 E. Center St. The castle is a well-know area used specifically at Halloween time.

The event will feature a variety of musical entertainment, game booths, face painting and concession stands. Los Hermanos de los Andes will start the concert off with a Latin beat. Other bands will include the bluegrass music of Gold Rush; the evangelical music of Fragments of Stone; Paradigm, a synthesizer band; and two ska bands, Man Friday and Stretch Armstrong.Soloist John Kavanaugh will also be featured. The castle offers outdoor seating. Those attending are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs.

Radio station K-96 will be on hand with giveaways, stand-up comics and other entertainers between acts. Tickets are $5 per person or $20 per family. All proceeds go to the Brigham Young Academy Foundation.
