John Stockton now has two backups.

Howard Eisley, as expected, has signed a contract today to remain with the Utah Jazz. Details of the deal and comments by involved parties at an afternoon press conference were unavailable at press time.Eisley, who has been Stockton's primary substitute the past two seasons, is now joined on the roster by rookie point guard Jacque Vaughn of Kansas. The Jazz plan on keeping all three point guards in hopes of extending the career of Stockton, the all-time NBA leader in steals and assists.

Eisley averaged 4.5 points and 2.4 assists per game last season and scored at a 5.6 per game clip during Utah's playoff run through the NBA Finals.
