The man who delivered marijuana-laced banana bread to KSKI-FM's morning radio hosts in May will spend six months at the North Idaho Correctional Institution in Cottonwood.
Fifth District Judge James May said Monday that he then will decide whether to release Gary Hum-bock on probation or order more prison time.Humbock, 28, of Ketchum, also faces $15,000 in fines after pleading guilty to one felony count of delivery of a controlled substance and one felony count of possession with intent to deliver.
The prank left two on-air hosts, Kyla Kelly and Ron Harrison, and two interns drugged during part of their morning broadcast. Officials estimated the bread contained more than an ounce of high-grade marijuana.
Kelly asked May to take the incident seriously. Before, on-air hosts frequently accepted coffee and food from listeners.
"You turned a gift of appreciation into a criminal act," Kelly said.
The incident prompted KSKI owner Clint Stennett to broadcast an on-air apology and institute a drug policy at the station. The two interns were fired and Harrison has since left.
Humbock was arrested about a week after the incident. Blaine County sheriff's officers found packaged amounts of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his home, as well as leftover pieces of banana bread in the garbage.
