Cheryl Jean Johnson, 52, passed away Sept. 4, 1997, at University Hospital, surrounded by loving family and friends, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Born Feb. 10, 1945 in Ogden, Utah, to Cecil H. and Jean Passey Satterthwaite. Married J. Russell Johnson in the Ogden LDS Temple on June 18, 1976. Graduated from Weber High School and attended Weber State. She had been employed by North Ogden Medical Clinic and Jordan School District.Survived by husband; children, Sarah (Jake) Schaugaard, Todd, Ashlee, all of Sandy; Elder Blake Johnson, Jamaica Kingston Mission; parents, Cecil and Celia Satterthwaite; brothers and sisters, Cecil Thane (Margaret), San Diego, CA; Lawrence (Margaret), Harrisville; Brent (Dottie), Eden; Lynn (Melanie), Liberty; Linda (Joe) Stromberg, Fruit Heights; Dale (Liana), Huntsville; Joy (Bob) Fox, Midlothian, TX.; numerous loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her mother, Jean, in 1950. She was blessed with the love of her new mother, Celia, during the remainder of her childhood.

Funeral services Monday, Sept. 8, 1997, at 11 a.m. at the Mount Jordan 8th Ward Chapel, 235 East 9800 South. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Monday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
