Metamor Worldwide Inc. announced Thursday it has acquired The Windward Group, a software developer that has offices in Salt Lake City and Los Gatos, Calif., in an all-cash purchase.

Windward clients have included 3Com, Apple Computer, McGraw Hill and FedEx. The company has 85 full-time employees. Metamor Worldwide, based in Houston, has as its goal the ability to provide a one-stop-shopping source for clients' information technology service needs.
