Ted Koppel will return to his stomping grounds when he addresses Stanford University's graduating class in June.

Koppel, who earned a master's in communications from Stanford in 1962, also addressed the university's graduating seniors in 1986.The ABC "Nightline" anchor is Stanford's first commencement speaker in recent years without government or political ties. Previous speakers have included Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, former Defense Secretary William Perry and former U.S. Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders.
