David Tolman McNeil died on May 28, 1998 in St. George, Utah after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 81.

Dave was born March 2, 1917 in Bountiful, Utah to Joseph Henry and An Lucretia Tolman McNeil. Attended Davis High School and the University of Utah. He married Anne Ford in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 24, 1937.Old friends will remember Dave as manager of the popular Rainbow Randevu where he worked for ten years during the Big Band Era. In 1967 Dave and Ann moved to the San Francisco East Bay Area where he engaged in the restaurant and wholesale plant business. After retirement in 1988, they moved to St. George, Utah. He joined the Bloomington Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf with his buddies. He loved all sports and was an avid fan of his children and grandchildren. He loved gardening and enjoyed making his home and yard special.

He is survived by his wife Anne, three sons: Joseph David J.D.; Scott Ford (Kathy) and Tyler Ford (Ginna), all from Salt Lake City, Utah; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters: Mary, Quinn T., Orlean Richardson, Blanch Harrison, Blain T. and Raymond T. McNeil.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 1998, 2 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel. Friends may call Sunday, 7 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary and Monday, 1 to 2 p.m. at the mortuary prior to services. Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary, 673-4221.
