Singer-songwriter Carly Simon is undergoing chemotherapy in a battle with breast cancer, the New York Daily News reported Tuesday.
"It takes some time to get used to the fear of having it," she told the newspaper. "But I've always thought of myself as being a warrior."Simon, who turns 53 next month, had a malignant tumor removed from her breast and is nearing the end of her chemotherapy treatments.
"I feel stronger and more vital than ever," she said. "When you actually have a battle, it's better than when you don't know who to fight."
