Ruth Bean Hutchinson, 87, died June 2, 1998 at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born September 7, 1910 in Provo, Utah, the daughter of Benjamin and Carrie Evans Bean. Married to J. Marvell Hutchinson, December 20, 1930 in Tooele, Utah. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Marve passed away January 2, 1987.Achievements included homemaker, accomplished cook, 15 year volunteer at Primary Children's Hospital, voting registrar, and active LDS Church worker in Relief Society, Primary and other callings. She enjoyed her children, neighbors, yard work, travel and the family cabin. Ruth was an officer in the Sugar House Lady Lions and also the Utah Retail Grocers Ladies Auxiliary.
Survived by children, John M. Jr. (Susan); Delbert N. (Gayle); Benjamin K. (Ann); and Ruthann Johnson (Dr. Lynn S.); 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Delbert I. Bean; and William J. Bean. Preceded in death by sisters, Ida Craig; Melba Reid; and brothers, Wills and Arnold Bean.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon, June 13, 1998 at Edgehill First Ward, 1750 So. 1500 East. Family visitation one hour prior. Friends may call at Edgehill First Ward, 1750 So. 1500 East, Friday, June 12 from 6-8 p.m. Burial at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery. Funeral directors, Cottonwood Mortuary.
