Our beloved Dixie Jean Derrick, age 48, passed away June 18, 1998 of complications of pneumonia.

Born November 11, 1949 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia to Irven Glade and Eva Peterson Derrick. Graduate of BYU as a certified dietician. Former employee of the LDS Hospital. Served as an health missionary in Peru, 1976. At the time of her death she was an executive secretary for a general authority of the LDS Church. Music and homemaking were her favorite callings within the Church. She never missed an important event in the lives of her nieces and nephews. She was always willing to go the extra mile.She is survived by her mother; brother, Dr. Paul Irven (Loretta) Derrick, Sandy; two sisters, Joan (Albert L.) Olsen, American Fork; Sylvia (Gordon B.) Moody, Arlington, TX. She will be missed dearly by her relatives and friends.

Funeral service Monday, June 22nd, at 2 p.m., East Millcreek Stake Center, 3103 East 3600 South. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Sunday evening 6-8 p.m., and at the Stake Center on Monday, 1-1:45 p.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive.
