Credit union awards $2,500 in scholarships to members

Mountain America Credit Union recently presented $2,500 in scholarships to three credit union members planning to pursue higher education.

The 1998 Paul R. Ball Memorial Scholarships were given to Dianne Sanford, Cedar City, who received the $1,500 first-place award; and Lavaniya Sutton, Orem, and Katrina Lyman, Salt Lake, who received $500 each.Sanford attends Southern Utah State University and plans to work in marketing communications when she graduates in 1999.

Sutton will begin her undergraduate work at the University of Utah this fall and plans to attend medical school.

Lyman graduated from Olympus High School and plans to attend Utah State University in the fall.
