Kent Stayner Frederickson, 52, quietly passed away at home.

Kent was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on February 13, 1946, to Donald S. and Barbara Shaw Frederickson. He graduated from Highland High School in 1964, and the University of Utah, College of Business, in 1968. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Kent has been practicing Certified Public Accounting since that time. He is the owner of Frederickson and Co., CPA firm. Kent has lived a rich and busy life. He received his Eagle Scouting Award at the age of 12. He served as a member of the Utah Air National Guard. He was a member and past president of Holladay Rotary Club. He served as an accountant on several CPA and political committees. He served on the University of Utah's Crimson Club Board of Directors and Granite School District's Granite Education Foundation.

Kent is survived by his wife, Nancy; three children, Scott (fiancee, Megan Harding); Tom; and Jill; his parents; brother, Keith; and sister, Janet Partridge.

He was quoted as saying, "I'd rather be golfing than anywhere else." He is also survived by wonderful golfing friends all over the state.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, 12 noon, at East Millcreek 15th Ward, 3750 South Hillside Lane. Family and friends may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, and Thursday, 10:45-11:45 a.m., at the ward.

Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
