Richard Burde, 85, passed away June 4, 1998 from complications from a stroke and Pneumonia. Born October 23, 1912 in Frankfurt on the Oder, to Herman and Bertha Rau Burde.
Richard studied at the Academy of Fine Arts for four years in Dresden. He was also very active in the LDS church, holding many positions. After coming to America in 1953 he continued painting. The Church Museum exhibits many of Richard's paintings.He is survived by his loving wife, Elfriede; daughter, Margo (Dieter) Duennebeil; two granddaughters, Barbara Jacobs and Lisa (Gene) Prunty; one grandson, Peter (Roxanne) Duennebeil; five great-grandchildren, Kris, Jeff, Adam, Jake and Ryan.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 1998 at 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates (6500 So. Redwood Rd). Friends and family may call one hour prior to service on Tuesday. Interment at Redwood Memorial Estates.
