A judge dismissed federal charges against Montana Freeman Ralph Clark, who owned the ranch where the anti-government group staged an 81-day standoff with the FBI two years ago.

Three state charges were then filed against Clark on Monday, stemming from his involvement in a Freemen check-writing scheme, the group's threats against officials and the 1996 standoff.
