VERNAL--Vergie Pearl Wooley Behrman, 90, passed away November 13, 1999, at the Ashley Valley Medical Center in Vernal, Utah.

She was born August 7, 1909, in Junction, Utah, a daughter of Arthur and Martha Pearl Draper Wooley. She married Horace S. Behrman on April 8, 1931, in Vernal, Utah. He died Nov. 12, 1982.Vergie was a homemaker and an active member of the LDS Church and held various positions. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, gardening and dancing. She also loved being with her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, mother and father, one granddaughter Deanne, one great-grandson Bart, one great great-grandson Christopher, four brothers and one sister Milton, Clark, Herman, Cloyd, and Ora.

She is survived by her children, Donna Rae (Ted) McKowen, West Valley City, UT; H.D. "Buff" (Eva) Behrman, Vernal, UT; A.V. "Ike" (Joan) Behrman, Cederedge, CO; Lu (Gerald) Clark, Vernal, UT; V.W. "Lop" (Colleen) Behrman, Maybell, CO; Floyd (Hazel) Behrman, San Jacinto, CA; Dean Behrman, Battle Mountain, NV; Sharon (Darryl) Steel, Maybell, CO; Joyleen (Brent) Haslem, St. George, UT; 43 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren, and 12 great great-grandchildren; brother, Loris (June) Wooley, Lapoint, UT; sisters, Thelma McKee, Tridell, UT; Leida (Preston) Atwood, Linden, UT.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 16, 1999, 11 a.m. in the Vernal 9th Ward LDS Chapel, 200 West 250 North. Friends may call Monday at Thomson's Vernal Mortuary from 6-8 p.m. and at the 9th Ward Chapel Tuesday, one hour prior to services. Following these services, burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of Thomson's Vernal Mortuary.
