Our beloved husband, father, brother and friend, Michael Lee Aldrich, passed away while hiking Saturday, August 14, 1999.
Michael was born December 27, 1948, son of LaRue Hulse Aldrich in Preston, Idaho. He grew up in Salt Lake City and attended East High School, where he met his wife Debra Barrus. He married Debra on December 16, 1970, and was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.He graduated from the University of Utah with a Masters degree in civil engineering, and was the owner of Michael L. Aldrich and Associates Consulting Engineers. He was an active member of Parley's First Ward.
He was never seen without a smile or heard without a joke. He enjoyed horse back riding, hiking, and time at the cabin with his family. He was a great husband and father who put the needs of his family above everything else. He is survived by his wife, Debra; his children, Heather (Paul) Peters, Shane, Megan, and Joseph; and his older brother, Dan.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, 1999, at 12 noon at Parley's First Ward, 2350 South 2100 East, in Salt Lake City. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, or Thursday at the chapel one hour prior to services.
