SOUTH JORDAN--<! > Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mabel K. Smith was called home Oct. 28, 2000. She went from the loving arms of her family to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father. She joined her husband, C. Ralph Smith, her daughter M. Jean Smith-Heyer and her two grandsons, Randall G. Shields and Scott H. Smith and the rest of her family waiting there for her. She was married to Ralph, March 5, 1926, marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple May 25, 1962.
She left behind her loving son, Harvey R. Smith and his wife Rhonda; daughter, Judy Smith-Fleager; granddaughters, Leilah J. Watson, Kristy Goss, Sheri Smith Hardy, Kimberly Smith Symonds, Tammy Fleager Adolphe, and grandsons, Jeffrey Smith, Jeremy Smith, and Bret Fleager in addition to eight great-grandchildren.
Mabel was born in Cambridge, Idaho, October 12, 1910. She was the tenth child of 13 children. She met her lifetime partner, Ralph when they were children. She said he used to chase her around and pull her pigtails. She was the last survivor of her and Ralph's siblings.
Her priority, her entire life, was her family. She was a loving mother and a doting grandmother. She was surrounded by her family at her passing and will be greatly missed.
"For behold, this is my work and my glory-- to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man."
