Loving brother, uncle, and friend, Roderick W. Parr, passed away Nov. 20, 2000 following a long illness.
He was born Oct. 24, 1914 in Salt Lake City to Sarah Ann Campbell and David H. Parr. Graduated from South High School in 1935. Worked at the Naval Depot in Clearfield, Utah and retired later from Hill Air Force Base. His family meant the world to him, and the children in particular gave him much pride and joy. He really appre-ciated all of his many friends over the years, and none of them were ever forgotten. He was an avid sports fan and was interested in athletics at all levels.
Survived by a sister, Catherine Brooks, Salt Lake City; sister-in-law, Arlinda Parr, Salt Lake City; nieces and nephews, Sheila (Gordon) Taylor, Terence (Collette) Parr, Mary Ann (James) Enright, Michael (Karen) Brooks, and all their children. Preceded in death by parents and by brothers David and Marcus.
Graveside services will be held at the Salt Lake City Cemetery at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24, 2000. Funeral Directors, Larkin Mortuary.
Because of his great love for children it is requested that any donations be sent in his name to the Primary Children's or Shriner's Children's Hospitals.
