TenFold Corp. of Draper, PowerQuest Corp. of Orem and Myriad Genetics Inc. of Salt Lake City have been ranked on the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in North America.

The rankings are based on five-year percentage growth in revenue, from 1995 to 1999.

TenFold, a provider of large-scale e-business applications, was ranked 68th. Its revenue growth from $1.5 million in 1995 to $92.4 million in 1999 was 5,871 percent.

Software company PowerQuest saw revenue grow 2,762 percent, from $1.8 million in 1995 to $51 million in 1999. It was ranked 148th on the list.

Biotechnology company Myriad Genetics was ranked 226th. It had revenue growth of 1,855 percent, from $1.3 million to 25.3 million during the five-year period.

Professional services firm Deloitte & Touche reviewed financial records for more than 5,000 public and privately held technology companies to compile the list. To qualify, companies must have had 1995 revenues of at least $50,000; have headquarters in the United States or Canada; and be a "technology company."

Forty-six percent of the listed companies are in the software industry.
