David Dene Dutson, age 44, passed away on Dec. 12, 2000 of a heart attack.

David was born on February 7, 1956 in Salt Lake City, to Lorin Dene Dutson and Barbara Hamblin. He grew up in East Millcreek and graduated in 1974 from Skyline high school. He was very active in the LDS Church and served a mission to Munich, Germany from 1975-1977. David graduated in computer science from Atlantic Union College in 1993.

In 1977 David married Jeanette Desmond. They later divorced. They had two sons, Adam and Joshua. In 1982, he married Lizette Clark. They had four children, Zacharie, Kelly, Lindsey, and Scott.

David served many years in the scouting program. He enjoyed working with the boys and was a much loved scoutmaster. He enjoyed camping and hiking, and especially enjoyed backpacking in Alaska. David played the guitar and loved music.

David had an outgoing, caring and sensitive personality. He had many close friends growing up, and through associations at work. He was a loving and supportive father. He enjoyed attending his children's sporting events and other activities.

David is survived by his wife Lizette Clark Dutson of Salt Lake City; five sons, Adam (Heather), Joshua, Zacharie, Kelly, and Scott; one daughter, Lindsey; two grandchildren; his mother Barbara; one brother, Lorin Lamont (Christine) Dutson of Fort Madison, IA; one sister, Pam (Kent) England of Sandy, and a close and loving extended family. Preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 16, 2000, at 11 am, at the East Millcreek 6th Ward, 3103 East 3600 South. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Saturday morning for one hour prior to the services.
