Question:Last year my husband and I watched and enjoyed "18 Wheels of Justice" on TNN. The last episode indicated the show would be continued this year, but all we've seen are reruns. Has the series been canceled? — E.A.W., Glendale, Ariz.

Answer: Lucky Vanous, of Diet Coke commercial fame, and his high-tech 18-wheeler are back for a second season of the action show starting Jan. 3.

Question:I am a regular watcher of "Frasier." This season, I have noticed that Jane Leeves (Daphne) is pregnant. Can you tell me who is the lucky father and when is she due? — D.R.C., Sacramento, Calif.

Answer: British actress Leeves and her husband, TV exec Marshall Coben, are expecting their first child in January.

Question:In "The Wizard of Oz," I know who all of the characters are except one called Nikko. Is he the smiling monkey with the witch at the crystal ball, or one of the Lollipop Kids? — P.A.B., North Providence, R.I.

Answer: Nikko is the Wicked Witch's flying monkey, played by Pat Walshe.

Question:I am a big fan of Julianna Margulies. Please tell me what she is working on now and when the projects debut. — Kristie, via e-mail

Answer: The former "ER" star made a big-screen appearance this year in "What's Cookin'," starring Alfre Woodard and Dennis Haysbert. She's now at work on "The Mists of Avalon" for TNT. The four-hour miniseries revisits "Camelot" from a woman's point of view. Airing in 2001, "Mists of Avalon" also will star Anjelica Huston, Samantha Mathis and Caroline Goodall. Earlier this year, Margulies turned down a $27 million contract that would have continued her "ER" role as Nurse Carol Hathaway for two more seasons.

Question:TV Land recently had a tribute to Meredith MacRae. I do not remember reading or hearing anything about her passing away. — G.A., N. Providence, R.I.

Answer: The "Petticoat Junction" star died last month after a battle with brain cancer. The daughter of show biz veterans Gordon ("Oklahoma!") and Sheila ("The Honeymooners") MacRae, Meredith, 56, is survived by her husband, daughter, mother and two brothers.

Question:Can you tell me what happened to the television show "Little Men," which disappeared from Pax TV in midseason? The program was probably considered too simplistic by many, but it was one of the few shows on during the so-called family viewing time which we considered to be truly family friendly. — N.M., Albuquerque

Answer: "Little Men," in its second season on Pax, has been canceled. The series followed the further adventures of Louisa May Alcott's Jo March Bhaer as the head of a boarding school.

Question:Please give me some background on the host of "Survivor." I haven't seen him on TV before. — M.S., Dallas

Answer: Jeff Probst is a veteran emcee but mostly of cable shows you've probably never heard of ("Sound FX," "Backchat," "Family Business," "Garden Variety"). His biggest pre-"Survivor" gigs were as a reporter for "Access Hollywood" and Court TV's "Hollywood on Trial" and as host of VH1's "Rock and Roll Jeopardy." Since returning from "Survivor" island Pulau Tiga, Probst, 38, directed his own film project, "Finder's Fee," before heading off to Australia for a second "Survivor" adventure.
