-- Leslie Steadman "Cass" Silcox, 76, died Dec. 24, 2000.

Born Sept. 23, 1924 in Riverton, Utah to Austin and Edith Steadman Silcox. Cass was a life long resident of Riverton. Married Olea Merritt July 20, 1947 in Elko, NV.

Cass worked for Combined Metals, was a bricklayer and retired from Geneva Steel. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and had a wonderful sense of humor and loved being with his family.

Survived by Wife, Olea, sons Lynn (Susan) of Vernal, UT; Brent (Karen) of Tracy, CA; Paul (Rachelle) of West Jordan; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; brothers Clair and Earl of Bluffdale; sisters Glady's Klotovich and Nola Garziano both of South Jordan; Emma Turner of Salt Lake City; Mary Edginton of Kearns; and Francine Workman of Ivans, UT and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the South Jordan Cemetery 10650 So. 1055 W. Friends may call Thurs. evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W.
