Following a 4-3 loss to Sweden the night before, the United States logged its first tournament triumph Tuesday night with a 4-3 victory over Estonia in second-round action of the 2000 World Ice Sledge Hockey Championships at the E Center.

Falling behind 2-0 to Estonia through most of the first 15-minute period in the Tuesday night game, Team USA scored three goals -- one by Kip St. Germaine near the end of the first period and goals by David Conklin and Joe Howard in the second -- to take a 3-2 lead into the third period.Estonia's Juri Tammleht evened the score to 3-all at the 38:57 mark, but Team USA's Sylvester Flis scored the game-winning goal less than 30 seconds later. The U.S. win handed Estonia its second consecutive loss.

The United States meets Canada Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in a game of the tournament's most physical squads.

Meanwhile, Norway edged Japan 3-2 to remain the only team with a perfect 2-0-0 record after just two days of games in the Paralympic competition.

Despite rushing to a 3-0 lead and outshooting Japan 27-8, Norway had to hold off a late rally for its second win in as many days.

Helge Bjoernstad scored two goals for Norway, while Japan's Atsuya scored twice in the final seven minutes.

CANADA 1, SWEDEN 1: In the tournament's first tied game, Sweden and Canada picked up a point each in the standings.

Canada's Rob Lagace scored the game's first goal in the second period, with Sweden's Jan Edbom answering with a goal of his own five minutes into the third period.
