The Utah Grizzlies now have a full coaching staff for the coming season as Craig Ludwig and Jason Taylor have been hired as assistants for Utah coach Bob Bourne.

Ludwig, a 17-year NHL veteran who won Stanley Cups with Montreal in 1986 and Dallas in 1999, was assigned to the Grizz by their parent club, the Stars. The longtime defenseman helped coach the Michigan K-Wings for the second half of last season.

Taylor is also a pro hockey veteran, having played for nine years in various minor leagues. He played the 1996-97 season under Bourne with the Central Texas Stampede. He was HK Olimpia in the Austrian Elite League last season.

Bourne calls their hirings "a big bonus for this season."

"(Ludwig) will be a big help to me in coaching our defense," he said. He added that "Jason Taylor is a second-generation player who knows the game and will help our young players."
