Donald Lott Fox, 78, was born in Lehi, Utah January 26, 1922, to Charles Irvin and Ora Lott Fox. He died January 14, 2001 from amyloidosis complications. He graduated from East High School and the University of Utah, in Mechanical Engineering.
Don married Fern Clark October 9, 1944 in the Salt Lake Temple on a delay in route after receiving his commission in the U. S. Army. He served in the Italian campaign with the 10th Mountain Division.
Don worked with the U & I Sugar Company while in school, then spent the remaining of his working days with U. S. Steel, Geneva Works, retiring in 1983. While in American Fork, he served on the Alpine Stake High Council twice and spent seven years as Bishop of the Fourth Ward. He was a Scout Master and Explorer Leader for years. On returning to Salt Lake, he served as High Priest Group Leader and then Second Counselor in the Salt Lake Highland Stake Presidency for eight years. Don loved everyone.
Don is survived by his wife and four children, James E. (Toni) Fox, of Arcadia, California; Donald Clark (Melinda) Fox of Mesa, Arizona; Ann (Jay) Hardman and Robert Clark Fox, of American Fork, Utah. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Lindsay Hardman.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 20, 2001 in the Highland Park Ward, 2523 South Douglas Street. Family and friends may call on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive and at the ward on Saturday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
