Norma Laraine Black, 88, passed away January 2, 2001 in West Valley City, Utah.
She was born No-vember 16, 1912 in Fillmore, Utah, the daughter of Norman Christain and Ada May Bridges Cooper. Norma married Melvin Wade Blake on April 20, 1937 in Pioche, NV. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple October 27, 1943.
Norma was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was the most loving mother and grandmother and loved being so. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles.
Survived by husband of 63 years, Melvin; and six children: N. Thayne; Ada May Honea; Shirley Willden; Joylene Kampf; N. Jane Blake; Wade M.; 24 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001 at 12 noon at the Cannon 3rd Ward Chapel 1301 S. 1200 W. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Mortuary 5850 S. 900 E. and one hour prior to the services Sat. at the church.
