Salt Lake County sheriff's investigators have arrested a man in connection with the death of Don Dorton, 36, whose body was discovered near 4100 South and 8400 West Oct. 13 by a couple walking their dog along a dirt road adjacent to Kennecott Corp.

Thursday, detectives arrested Darren N. Grubuer Jr. 18, and booked him into the Salt Lake County jail for investigation of aggravated kidnapping.

According to jail documents, witnesses saw Grubuer beating Dorton and binding his hands behind his back with duct tape. Grubuer then carried Dorton out of a house in West Valley with his hands still bound, according to jail documents.
