Zions Bank Friday announced a new, statewide scholarship program in honor of Brigham Young's 200th birthday this month.

Beginning in the fall, the Zions Bank Founders Scholarship Program will annually award a four-year, full-tuition scholarship to 11 Utah high school students attending each of the state's colleges and universities.

"This award is in honor of our founder Brigham Young and his commitment to education," said Scott Anderson, president and CEO of Zions Bank.

Scholarship recipients will be selected by each college or university based on the student's scholarship, citizenship and community involvement.
