Marina De Edmonds Scott, 45, peacefully returned home to her Heavenly Father on August 28, 2001, after lingering for two weeks in a coma induced by a cardiac arrest.

Marina was born on Sept. 14, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas, to Dianna and Horace Edmonds. She was the oldest of six children. She and her husband Matthew N. Scott were married April 18, 1975 in the Salt Lake Temple. Marina will be remembered by her children as the centerpiece of their family and an excellent mother to them and their friends. She has been an inspiration to all who loved her, especially in her last year, wherein she achieved numerous life-long goals.

Marina is survived by her husband, six children, her mother, four sisters, one brother, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Horace B. Edmonds, and other extended family members.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2001 at 10 a.m. at the Sandy Utah Crescent West Stake Center, 1295 East 11000 South. Friends and family may visit at the Stake Center Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday 9-9:45 a.m. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery/Mortuary.
