Loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend left to return to her Heavenly Father, Sunday, October 27, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a courageous fight with brain cancer.
She was born December 9, 1964 to Richard G. Swapp and Sharon Schmutz Swapp in Campbell, CA. She married Michael L. Smith August 23, 1985 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Lisa was a wonderful caring friend who was always willing to help others. She enjoyed sharing her time and talents with her church and community. As a member of the LDS Church, she loved her callings in the Young Women's, Relief Society, Primary and was a devoted visiting teacher. She enjoyed skiing, ice skating, swimming and cosmetology. She served as a UTADA diabetes camp counselor.
She loved life and kept going strong, even during her illness. She developed remarkable faith and trust in her Savior as a result of her life experiences. She was loved by many and will be missed by them all for her great hugs, wonderful sense of humor, and devoted love of children.
Survivors include husband Michael; sons Isaac, Addison and Toren; father Richard Swapp; stepmother Patricia Swapp; brothers Craig and Brent Swapp; sisters Janet Tingey and Sheryl Hunt; father in law Larry C. Smith and stepmother Shiela Harrington-Smith. She was preceded in death by her mother Sharon Schmutz Swapp; mother in law Nadja M. Smith.
Services will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2002, 12:00 p.m. at the Cannon 4th Ward, 1301 S. 1200 W. Salt Lake City. Friends may visit Tues. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple from 6-8 p.m. and at the ward Wed. from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services. In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted at Zions Bank in Lisa's name.
