He gained 1,632 all-purpose yards. He rushed for 1,150 yards and 18 TDs and had 23 catches for 482 yards. He also returned kickoffs.

Was one of Ryan Zimmerman's favorite targets. He hauled in 56 passes for 978 yards and 15 touchdowns.

In six games he tallied 25 catches for 408 yards and six TDs.

Along with blocking for Tui Auva'a, he had 16 catches for 316 yards and seven TDs. He also led the Braves in tackles.

He was a two-year starter, and this year he was named the Region 4 offensive lineman of the year.

"He's a great offensive lineman with his drive blocks, pulls, and traps. He's a consistent performer." — Coach Chad Van Orden.

"He's a great run and pass blocker." — Coach Monte Morgan. He was a two-year starter.

He was named the Utah Gatorade Player of the Year. He graded out at 90 percent on the offensive line and had 15 sacks on defense.
JAKE KURESA, Mountain Crest, 6-4, 315, Sr.
He tallied 42 tackles, 7.5 sacks and three forced fumbles. He was injured for five games.
BRIAN SOI, Timpview, 6-4, 275, Jr.
He recorded 24 tackles, four sacks, 13 hurries and six knockdowns. He also played OL.
NICK ELIASON, Mountain Crest, 6-2, 205, Sr.
He totaled 91 tackles, nine sacks and returned two fumbles for TDs. Offensively, he had 47 catches for 802 yards.

He was a two-year starter and team captain. He had 83 tackles and five pass break-ups.

He recorded 59 tackles, three fumble recoveries and seven INTs. He also rushed for 1,002 yards.

He was a three-year starter, who also played wide receiver and returned kicks. He tallied 71 tackles and three INTs.

He hit a state-record 68 extra points and nailed five field goals.

He hit 32-of-33 extra points and averaged 43.1 yards per punt. He also hit 6-of-7 FGs.

"He was the best offensive lineman in the state." — Coach Kevin Butler. Defensively, he recorded 15 tackles a game and had 12 sacks.

He is a three-year starter. "Teams would run away from Jan because of his abilities." — Coach Troy Moynier.
JIM CHENEY, North Sanpete, 6-2, 217, Sr.
He tallied 65 tackles, 8.5 sacks and 18 quarterback hurries. He also had two blocked kicks and a fumble recovery.
ALII SEILUI, Pine View, 6-3, 295, Sr.
He recorded 56 tackles and four sacks for the Panthers, who made it to the quarterfinals.
KYLE SMITH, Delta, 6-3, 225, Sr.
"Plays hard on both sides of the ball." — Coach Dean Fowles. He had 68 tackles and four sacks.
LINEBACKERS
TRENT HADFIELD, Lehi, 5-9, 185, Sr.
"He is one of the best linebackers to ever play at Lehi." — Coach Steve Clements. He had 140 tackles — seven for a loss.
KEEGAN REIDHEAD, Cedar, 5-11, 185, Sr.
He led the team in tackles and was among the Region 9 leaders. Also rushed for 1,500 yards.
KEVIN JACOBSON, North Sanpete, 6-0, 200, Jr.
He recorded 123.5 tackles, 7.5 sacks and three interceptions. The Hawk defense allowed just 10.8 ppg.
BRAD WITHERS, Delta, 5-9, 150, Sr.
He led the Rabbits with 106 tackles. He also had four sacks and three INTs. He broke his leg in practice the week of the championship.
DEFENSIVE BACKS
TYLER GREATHOUSE, Delta, 5-9, 160, Sr.
He tallied 61 tackles and three interceptions. He also started at quarterback. He replaced Brad Withers at MLB in championship game.
ALAN BAILEY, Lehi, 5-11, 155, Jr.
He tallied 10 interceptions and broke up 15 passes. He didn't allow a touchdown. He also caught 30 passes for 534 yards and six TDs.
JESSE MERKLEY, Uintah, 5-9, 175, Sr.
The Ute safety had three INTs. He also rushed for 1,375 yards and had three kickoff returns for TDs and returned one punt for a TD.
KYLE BRADY, Tooele, 6-2, 195, Jr.
He was a defensive stopper with nine interceptions. He also had 1,028 yards rushing and 15 TDs.

RYAN DEARTH, Uintah, 5-9, 140, Sr.
Missed only one extra point all season and nailed 6-of-7 field goals.
RICHARD FITZGERALD, Pine View, 5-8, 170, Sr.
Hit 42-of-47 extra points (he tied a record with nine in one game) and had seven FGs.

CLINT AIME, North Sanpete, 5-8, 180, Sr.
He had more than 1,500 all-purpose yards. He had 774 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns; defensively, he had 43 tackles and two interceptions.
PAUL COLTON, Hurricane, 5-9, 155, Sr.
He had seven kickoff returns for touchdowns and a punt return for a touchdown.

QUARTERBACKS
FARLEY CROFTS, San Juan, 6-2, 175, Sr.
Two-year starter who threw for 5,517 yards and 53 TDs in his career. In 2001, he threw for 3,166 yards and 30 TDs.
JAKE DOWNARD, North Summit, 6-1, 180, Sr.
He and teammate Andy Carlsen made up one of the strongest QB/RB tandems in the state. He rushed for 747 yards and 14 touchdowns.
RILEY PARK, Juab, 5-8, 165, Sr.
Compiled 623 yards rushing and 974 yards passing for 1,597 total yards.
RUNNING BACKS
LUKE ALLEN, San Juan, 6-1, 195, Sr.
Played offense, defense and on every special team. At fullback he caught 62 passes for 878 yards and 14 touchdowns.
ANDY CARLSEN, North Summit, 6-1, 190, Jr.
Rushed for 1,908 yards and 17 touchdowns and averaged 6.9 yards per carry. Led the Braves into the semifinals.
McKINLEY SMITH, Millard, 6-0, 210, Sr.
He was a lead blocker who had a lot of success. He rushed for 1,015 yards and 22 touchdowns. He also had 134 tackles, two sacks and two INTs at LB.
LANE BARNEY, South Sevier, 6-0, 170, Sr.
He had 177 carries for 954 yards and 15 touchdowns. Defensively, he had 48 tackles and three interceptions.
TRINT LAWS, North Sevier, 6-2, 197, Sr.
A three-year starter who rushed for 2300 yards in his career at fullback.
OFFENSIVE LINEMEN
JASON BOONE, Millard, 6-3, 230, Sr.
Was one of the lead blockers for McKinley Smith and Phillip Tuttle. At DL he had 94 tackles, five sacks and two fumble recoveries.
KENDALL WALSTON, Grand, 6-4, 245, Sr.
He didn't allow a sack all season from his right tackle position. On defense he recorded 75 tackles, 5.5 sacks and forced five fumbles.
JUSTIN THOMSON, Manti, 6-0, 200, Sr.
Helped his team rush for 2,700 yards and 1,190. The O-line allowed three sacks all year.
WIDE RECEIVERS
RHETT ANDERSON, Gunnison, 6-0, 160, Sr.
Finished with 32 catches for 570 yards and seven touchdowns. He averaged 17.8 yards per catch and a TD every 4.5 receptions.
RYAN BLAD, Millard, 5-11, 175, Sr.
Recorded 23 catches for 326 yards and four touchdowns. He also had 57 tackles and six INTs at safety.

Recorded 20 catches for 194 yards, and defensively he had 97 tackles.

Was seldom used as a receiver in the Braves' option offense. He was a solid blocker who had nine catches and four TDs.

Started at nose guard and on the offensive line. He tallied 97 tackles, five fumble recoveries and two sacks.

Averaged eight tackles a game. "He's one of the best special teams guys I've coached . . . He created chaos for teams." — Coach Jerre Holmes

First Soaring Eagle state first-teamer. Recorded 72 tackles, eight for loss, six sacks, two fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles.
SCOTT CHRISTENSEN, Manti, 6-0, 185, Sr.
Recorded 91 tackles, nine sacks, seven batted passes, 14 hurries and a blocked punt.
NATE DANDY, San Juan, 6-0, 200, Sr.
Was a two-year mainstay on defense for the Broncos. He had eight sacks and three fumble recoveries. He was also the Broncos' kicker.

He recorded 90 tackles (35 unassisted), nine sacks and had four fumble recoveries. He also started on the offensive line.

Dominated at linebacker. He finished with 135 tackles — 26 for loss —- 10 sacks, two caused fumbles, two deflections and a blocked kick.
WES MARSHALL, Beaver, 6-0, 185, Jr.
Recorded 88 tackles, six sacks and two interceptions. At quarterback, he rushed for 1,192 yards and 16 touchdowns.

He rushed for 637 yards and threw for 515 more for a combined 20 touchdowns. Defensively, he recorded 77 tackles and two interceptions.

KYLE CURTIS, Monticello, 6-0, 160, Sr.
He had 1,669 yards on 205 carries and 33 touchdowns. He also had 20 receptions for 405 yards and three touchdowns.
SIM WESTON, Rich, 6-1, 185, Jr.
ANTHONY YELLOW, Monument Valley, 5-10, 190, Sr.
He rushed for 826 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also had three kickoff returns and two punt returns for touchdowns. Defensively, he tallied eight INTs.
RUSTY PEARSON, Milford, 5-8, 145, Sr.
He was the Tigers' second-leading tackler with 87. He also had six INTs and returned two of those for touchdowns.

JED EVANS, Parowan, 5-10, 175, Sr.
Led the Rams with 98 tackles — 70 unassisted, 28 assisted and six for loss.
CLINT STEVENSON, Altamont, 5-8, 160, Jr.
He recorded 65 tackles — 17 unassisted — 10 hurries and two interceptions. As a running back he gained 737 yards and scored eight TDs.
DUSTIN KENNEDY, Rich, 6-0, 170, Jr.
He is one of several talented Rebel juniors. He recorded 94 tackles, had one interception and one fumble recovery.
