He was a two-year starter who led the Braves in sacks.

Region 4 Defensive Player of the Year. Recorded 20 unassisted tackles, 23 hurries, 10 sacks and two blocked kicks.

Leading tackler for the Knights with 127 tackles. Averaged 5.18 yards per carry as a running back.

SCOTT JOHNSON, Timpview, 5-10, 165, Sr.

Team captain and two-year starter. He recorded 31 unassisted tackles, 2.5 sacks, four interceptions and nine deflections.

KICKER

DAVE CARROLL, Bountiful, 6-0, 180, Sr.

Was the Braves field-goal kicker and punter. Averaged 38 ypp; nailed 48 extra-points and eight FGs. He hit the championship game winner with 21 seconds left.

CALVIN BOEHM, Lone Peak, 6-1, 205, Sr.

Averaged 40.4 yards per kick with a long of 75 yards. He also kicked five field goals.

Threw for 2,348 yards with 23 touchdown passes. He also rushed for 433 yards. On defense he had five INTs.

KADE HILLSTEAD, Lehi, 5-10, 185, Sr.

Rushed for 1,321 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also had 378 receiving yards. Also started at OLB and had 26 solo tackles.

BRETT MADSEN, No. Sanpete, 6-2, 195, Jr.

He gained more than 1,800 all-purpose yards. He rushed for 1,150 yards and 18 TDs and had 23 catches for 482 yards.

WIDE RECEIVERS

RICKY DIAS, Pine View, 5-10, 185, Sr.

Three-year starter. Finished with 58 catches for 1,063 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also returned kicks.

GRIFFIN SORENSEN, Tooele, 5-10, 160, Jr.

Had 827 receiving yards with 15 touchdowns. He also ran back three kicks for touchdowns.

KENT ROBINSON, Wasatch, 6-0, 170, Sr.

Finished with 42 catches for 857 yards and eight touchdowns. He also returned one kick for a TD.

CHAD WESTWOOD, Cedar, 6-5, 220, Sr.

Two-year starter. Led team in receiving, sacks and tackles for loss.

Three-year starter on both sides of the ball. He was a big key in the Hawks' defense.

ASHTON FERRIN, Park City, 6-2, 235, Sr.

Three-year starter and played in 38 straight games and didn't miss a play.

CLAYTON WILLIAMS, Wasatch, 6-0, 250, Sr.

A three-year starter who anchored the Wasp offensive line. Wasatch's best player and OL and DL.

MATT IRVIN, Pine View, 6-1, 245, Sr.

A three-year starter on the OL and DL. Was PV's offensive lineman of the year.

COLBEY CLAWSON, No. Sanpete, 6-3, 205, Sr.

A great athlete who was a multi-year starter on both sides of the ball. Defensively he recorded 14 sacks and 17 quarterback hurries.

DEFENSIVE LINEMEN

SCOTT BARRETT, Hurricane, 6-5, 230, Sr.

In 10 games with the Tigers he recorded 22 sacks and 36 tackles for loss.

BRIAN GOODELL, Lehi, 6-0, 253, Sr.

Three-year starter on both sides of the ball. Had 43 solo tackles on the defensive line.

ROBBIE HATCH, Wasatch, 6-0, 180, Sr.

A defensive leader who had 94 tackles (61 solo), 27 hurries, 13 sacks and three caused fumbles.

JAN JORGENSEN, Carbon, 6-4, 235, Sr.

Two-time first-teamer. Finished with 93 tackles and 16 sacks.

LINEBACKERS

CHRIS GOCHIS, Tooele, 6-1, 240, Sr.

Recorded 62 tackles and 17 were for loss. He also rushed for 679 yards at running back.

KEVIN JACOBSON, No. Sanpete, 6-0, 205, Sr.

The instinctive linebacker tallied 116 tackles and 17 tackles for loss.

Despite missing two games, he recorded five INTs, and 31 solo tackles. Two-year starter and two-time first-teamer.

Tallied 53 tackles, two forced fumbles and had two fumble recoveries. At QB he threw for 1,239 yards.

DEREK KOHLER, Wasatch, 5-10, 160, Sr.

Finished with 48 tackles, 22 assists, three sacks and three interceptions.

DAVID CLARK, Lehi, 6-2, 170, Sr.

Hit 47 of 50 extra-points in leading the Pioneers to the semifinals.

Averaged more than 39 yards a game with a long of 78 yards. Nailed 12 punts inside the 15 yard line.

CHASE GRIFFITHS, Wasatch, 6-0, 195, Sr.

One of Wasatch's most versatile players. Had 30 catches for 509; 32 carries for 238, and 43 tackles and four INTs.

McKAY BYBEE, Morgan, 5-7, 150, Sr.

Battled injuries but still finished with 760 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was Morgan's deep threat.

QUARTERBACKS

WES MARSHALL, Beaver, 6-0, 190, Sr.

He rushed for 1,258 yards, 17 touchdowns and threw for 760 and nine TDs. He also had five INTs on defense.

KEVIN COX, Manti, 6-3, 210, Sr.

He threw for 1,148 yards and 16 touchdowns and rushed for 358 yards and 14 scores.

RUNNING BACKS

ANDY CARLSEN, North Summit, 6-0, 205, Sr.

Is Utah's all-time leading rusher with 4,967 yards. The two-time all-stater scored a class best 24 touchdowns.

JAMES ROSENBURY, Juan Diego, 6-0, 200, Sr.

This four-year starter rushed for 1,548 yards (10.5 ypc) on 148 carries with 16 touchdowns.

TERREL BELL, Juan Diego, 5-10, 185, Jr.

Tallied 932 yards and nine TDs for the state champions.

SCOTT ALBRECHT, Beaver, 5-11, 205, Sr.

Rushed for 1,210 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also had 213 receiving yards. As a defender he had 11 sacks.

KEITH BOREN, Richfield, 6-0, 190, Sr.

Rushed for 1,100 yards on 167 carries and 10 touchdowns.

Racked up 43 catches for 538 yards and seven touchdowns.

Had 280 receiving yards with five touchdowns and rushed for 250 yards and two scores. Defensively, he had three INTs and two sacks.

Dominated on both sides of the ball. Defensively he had 63 tackles, eight for losses, four sacks and two fumble recoveries.

Was a punishing blocker who also had 85 tackles and three sacks as a defender.

JOSH DOUGLAS, Kanab, 6-2, 220, Sr.

Started at center and nose guard. At NG, he had 86 tackles (35 solo) and 10 sacks.

"Was a key blocker on a line which had 2,500 yards rushing and 1,200 passing." — Coach Cole Mecham.

A three-year starter for Wasps. He also played linebacker and offensive line. Recorded 133 tackles and five sacks.

MIKE MONSEN, Millard, 6-0, 200, Sr.

Led the Eagles in defensive points. He also rushed for 522 yards as a running back.

MIKE DEGERING, South Summit, 5-11, 195, Sr.

Tallied 52 tackles and recovered four fumbles. He rushed for 400 yards as a running back.

JORDAN KOFOED, Millard, 6-1, 190, Sr.

Recorded a total of 73 defensive points and rushed for 371 yards as a running back.

Tallied 36 tackles, three interceptions and three pass break-ups. Had just under 1,000 rushing and receiving yards.

Recorded 30 solo tackles, four interceptions, two caused fumbles and recovered three fumbles.
