"The Gentlest Giant"

8/5/57 ~ 12/11/02

Solomone Ngata, 45, returned to his Heavenly Father December 11, 2002.

He was born Aug 5, 1957 in Tonga to Amelia Lose Manu and Finau Ngata. They both preceded him in death. He married Olga Liavaa Sept 11, 1979; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Solomone was greatly loved and respected by family, friends, and all those who knew him. He was a devoted father and dearly loved his family. He and his wife, Olga are the greatest supporters of the different activities their children participate in. From the first time that you meet Solomone, there were some things that you could expect, a great big hug, a couple of slaps on the back (that felt like getting hit by a truck), and of course a huge smile. Solomone was not a complex man. From him we've learned valuable lessons, things of importance are not bought with money, but felt with the heart. His most important things in life were not materialistic things, but in those that no amount of money could buy, family, honor, pride, fun, and genuine happiness. We can all learn from this simple, happy, fun man.

Survived by his lovely wife, Olga; and children, Finau, Solomone Jr., Haloti, Vili, Mariam, who will all miss him greatly.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thurs. Dec 19, 2002 Rose Park LDS Stake Center, 760 N. 1200 W, where friends may call Wed. 7-11 p.m. and Thurs. 8-10 a.m. Interment, Memorial Estates Bountiful. Directors, Peel Funeral Home, Magna.
