Treasured Husband and Father Eugene Hertz passed away on December 25, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah at age 92.
He was born March 27, 1910 in Oehringen, Germany to Falk Hertz and Gida Ottenheimer Hertz. Eugene married Hilde Buchheim on March 27, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Eugene attended school in Germany and immigrated to the U.S. in 1937. He lived in Salt Lake City until 1942 when he left to serve in the army during World War II (1942-1946). He was discharged as a Master Sergeant in United States Air Force. After he was discharged he worked in wholesale ladies ready to wear industry for 35 Years. He was a Rep for the western states in ladies sportswear and dress manufacturers until his retirement. He was a member of Congregation Kol Ami, and B'nai Brith.
He is survived by his wife Hilde Hertz; Daughter Gail; Nephew Fred Hertz (Shirlee); Nieces Alison and Shauna (John, son Justin); sister-in-law Sally Brooks; nieces Sandra and Karen (Fred). He was preceded in death by Brother Alfred Hertz.
