Our beloved and devoted husband, father, son and grandpa, Thomas Ray Hagins Jr., died March 18, 2002 from cardio-vascular disease.

He was born Oct. 24, 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland, son of Thomas Ray and Audrey Rose Haynie Hagins Sr. Tom married Joyce Ann Durnal, March 14, 1970 in Pasadena, Maryland; later solemnized in the Washington D.C. LDS Temple. Tom will always be remembered for his work with the Boy Scouts. His concern for the welfare of the young men was a major factor in Tom's life. He served the youth of all ages through his various callings in the church. He served as a Cubmaster, Eleven Year Old Scout Leader and 2nd Counselor in the Stake Young Men's presidency. He also served as a Stake Missionary for five years in the Annapolis Maryland Stake.

Tom is survived by his wife, Joyce; son, Thomas Ray Hagins III; grandchildren, Zachary Michael and Chelsea Anne Louise Hagins; mother, Audrey; aunts, Evelyn Balint, Isabelle (Joseph) Beagle, Yvonne Joy (Richard) Parks; and many friends of scouting and church. Preceded in death by his

father; grandparents, Grace and Charles Haynie, and Elander and Pamella Hagins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 12 noon, at the Taylorsville 25th Ward chapel, 4505 South 3420 West. Friends may call Wednesday evening, 5-8 pm, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Thursday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park
