EVENT POSTPONED: Heavy snow and high winds forced postponement of the opening alpine events of the Paralympics on Friday at Snowbasin.

The downhill for the visually impaired and women skiers was scheduled on Friday. The events will be joined with the men's downhill today at 10:30 a.m.

Those holding tickets for Friday's event will need to apply for a refund. The men's super-G is set for Sunday at Snowbasin.

Walkers

SPECTATOR CHALLENGE: SOLDIER HOLLOW — Paralympics organizers are inviting Soldier Hollow spectators to walk a one-mile course designed to encourage physical activity. Participants will receive a commemorative pin.

Walk times are scheduled as follows:

Sunday, 7:30-9 a.m.
