WOODS CROSS<! > -Chester Allen Somers passed away January 9, 2003 at his home from a long illness.
He was born July 6, 1944 in Canyon City, CO, son of Donald and Margaret Rathbun Somers. He married Sharon Paul April 6, 1968, she died Nov. 24, 1984. He married Teresa Carter Mickey on May 16, 1986.
Allen attended school in American Fork. He served in the Army during Vietnam. Allen was a member of the LDS church. He was an employee of Reliance Metals Center. Prior to his illness, Allen enjoyed golfing, hunting, riding ATV's and being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Terri of Woods Cross; sons, Corey (Charlene) and Michael (Michelle) of Bountiful; daughter, Jamie Davis (Kevin) of West Valley City; stepsons, Aaron Mickey (Amy) of Minneapolis, MN; Carter Mickey of Woods Cross; and Teague Mickey (Quinn) of Meeker, CO; sisters, Donna Turner (Bud) of American Fork and Joanne Seeley of Nephi; grandchildren, Angela, Jessica, Tanner, Hunter and Tristan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon and his mother and father, Don and Margaret Somers.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2020 South 200 West. Friends may call Monday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Tuesday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to services. (in case of inclement weather, services will be held at the mortuary).
