A Utah construction subcontractor accused of not paying his workers and exposing them to dangerous conditions is now in trouble with the law in Florida.

Andrew Costa was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail Jan. 4 on a warrant out of Florida, where he is accused of writing bad checks to his divorce attorney, a third-degree felony. Costa posted bond Wednesday and was released.

A spokeswoman with the Broward County Attorney's Office said negotiations are under way with Costa's attorney for his client to return to Florida.
