Nu Skin Enterprises Inc. announced Tuesday that Steven J. Lund, president and chief executive officer, will step down after accepting a three-year missionary assignment with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Lund will be replaced by Truman Hunt, formerly the company's executive vice president and general counsel. Hunt will immediately assume the position as president with oversight of Nu Skin's three product divisions: Nu Skin, Pharmanex and Big Planet.
In May, at the company's annual shareholder meeting, Hunt also will become the chief executive officer.
Hunt joined Nu Skin more than six years ago and managed the company's initial public offering. Since then, he has served as chief legal officer and has been part of the the four-person executive management committee, which directs the company's daily operations.
Prior to joining Nu Skin, Hunt was president of Better Living Products Inc., a Nu Skin affiliate that marketed consumer products through traditional retail channels.
Nu Skin reported $15.9 million in net income on $252.9 million in revenue for the three months ended Sept. 30.
In early morning trading Wednesday, shares of Nu Skin were down 22 cents at $12.25.
